Horseshoe Curve Ghost

Okay I don't know exactly what anyone is talking about, but what I seen at the Horseshoe Curve was nothing that I wanna see ever again in my life.

No it wasn't a full moon and it was not raining or anything else but i sure did see a lady in white...with a horrible face. This was no face I wanna see again. When we were there the first time, I seen her to the right, but she was NOTHING that he said she would be. We decided to come back a second time.

As we were nearing the tunnel, it was becoming extremely hard for me to breathe. Just as we were making the last turn to the tunnel she was standing in the middle of the road. She knew we were coming back and she was not happy. The closer we got to the tunnel the more the smell of sulfur lingered among us. I will never go back there again.

The following day I was out running a few errands for my mother. When I came to a stop at the end of Kissel ave, I looked to my left, and then to the right to look for cars, and just as I turned my head to the right she was in the passenger seat of my car! Then as I was leaving Rent-A-Center, one of the errands I was running, there were six crows sitting on my car!!! Normally when you come near birds they fly away. Well not these ones. They stayed on top of my car till I unlocked it and opened the door. I'm sorry but that is enough for me. That was a warning to stay away and if anyone else is smart enough you won't sit there and try to convince them to come out. It is bad news!

Didn't experience anything.. Is there a certain thing you have to do to experience something? We just sat in it at about 10:30 PM for approx. 5 mins with the truck off

I'm intrigued... are you referring to the tunnel at the base of Horseshoe curve? the road leading down from Gallitzin-Coupon road?

I went to this tunnel on February 24th, 2012 with four of my friends and what happened to us is unexplainable. We went into the tunnel around 8 O'clock and sat a water bottle on top of our car (which was turned off with the windows down) and heard footsteps approaching us I could feel pressure and a presence by my face as i was in the passenger seat.. A car then was heading towards the tunnel so we had to continue through so I grabbed the water bottle and we went through and turned around. We then stopped in the tunnel facing towards the other way. (towards Altoona) We once again shut off the car and did the "routine" (flash lights 3x and honk horn 3x). I placed the water bottle on the roof and said "please knock the water bottle off the roof" and a friend called her a not so nice name. Instantly the bottle was blasted off the car roof and it smashed off the other side of the tunnel and I was hit in the face simultaneously by some anonymous force. We then flipped out and got out of the tunnel and on our way back to town i noticed a stop sign violently swaying back and fourth almost touching the ground each sway! We then got the "bright" idea to go back but before we headed towards it we all said the Lords Prayer. When we got back into the tunnel and did the routine again nothing happened. We were not touched, the bottle was left alone, we thought we heard footsteps again but it was unsure. So we left, and on the way home we noticed hand prints that randomly appeared on the car and small but odd events were happening. When we got home and were inside the house the dome light kept coming on after we turned it off multiple times. These events that happened are still unexplainable. They're mind blowing and there may be more yet to come as it is only February 25th, 2012 today..

I just went to the tunnel today with my friends and she hit the water bottle off of our car violently, we didnt smell sulfur or anything, but when I went to my friends house that night my dome light turned on twice!! His mom shut it off the first time because she noticed it and was outside then when she got in her car it turned back on!! Later I noticed it was on afterward and it was back on and I had to go out and shut it off

Hello Marissa,

I have to tell you, your ghostly tale creeped me out more than any other I've read here. Most likely because I go to the Horseshoe Curve often and I know exactly what tunnel you're talking about. There are so many ghostnly tales about that tunnel but this is the first time I've heard about this white lady with the scary face. I've heard that on occasion spirits will actually follow people home. That's why it's important to say a prayer before looking for ghostly encounters. Crows creep me out too, I've heard they cross our paths for a reason.
