Haunted Cliff Street, New Castle, PA

I no longer live in Pennsylvania. I now live in Arizona. As a child I was always seeing things and hearing things and was shrugged off by adults as fibs or stories.
As an adult, we moved into a home that my husband's grandmother owned. She had died a few months earlier. His grandmother raised him and I don't believe it was her, and if it was there was also someone or something else.
On an evening in 1993, I was sitting on the phone talking to my friend in the north side of the home. I heard a knock on the front door. I went to the door to answer it, noone was there. This continued 4 more times in 10 minutes. I then heard knocking down the old house high on the walls on the exterior of the house. Thinking it was someone playing games, I opened the door and looked out. Nothing. My dog continued to follow the knocking, growling. I sat back down on the couch with my back facing the doorway and only exit out of that room, watching tv. All of a sudden, the dog goes to the doorway and sits, hair standing up on it's back, growling, bearing teeth. My friend on the phone says. Someone has broke into your home. I said no there is no other way in. My Rottweiler Taura continued to growl for 20 minutes. Please keep in mind I have not moved off the couch frozen in fear. My friend stated she was on her way down, witnessing all of these noises. Approximately twenty minutes went by and I seen her headlights pull up in front of my home. The hair on the back of my neck was standing. I was too afraid to move. She came to the front door and I managed enough strength to get up and unlock the door. She said,"Wow! You must be scared every light in the house is on!" I NEVER turned the lights on I was frozen with fear in the living room with the lights off. I told her this and she walked to the upstairs doorway and opened the door and she looked up and slammed the door and ran out of my home. She stated,"those lights were just on, and now they are off". Needless to say she NEVER returned.
This home was built in the 1800's by a polish family member of my ex-husbands. the bathrrom was in the basement, this home was sooo old. We have seen apparitions, flying smoke, knocking on the walls and floors, and also walking up and down the stairs and his grandmother's bed creek as the footsteps end. My daughter would talk to the corners of the room while my dog would bare teeth and growl. Needless to say, we sold the home.
I asked the folks if they ever heard anything, they wouldn't answer. I am terrified of that house. It is located in New Castle, PA on Cliff Street. The back yard has a drop off to the highway. The neighborhood is now very run down and I think the house is in near shambles. I would recommend someone investigate it. I know from family members, a small child burned to death in the back yard and my husband's grandmother died in the living room. If you would like the address number contact me.
