Blair County African American Heritage Festival

Mark your calendars for the 17th annual Blair County African American Heritage Festival at Penn State's Altoona Campus on Saturday, July 24.
The daylong festival of music, crafts and culture celebrates African American culture in Blair County, and features music by gospel artists and groups Kevin Jarido and Nu Virtue, New Skool Spirit, jazz group Urban Fusion and Ibeji Drum Ensemble, playing traditional African music. Traditional foods also will be available throughout the day.
The festival is part of the African American Project of Blair County and is funded in part by Penn State Altoona, Sheetz, McLanahan Corporation, Geomatics Solution LLC, NAACP of Blair County, Port Foundation, Yahweh Productions, and Lighthouse Tax Services.
